Serious Truce Violation: Hezbollah Admits Detonating Bomb Against IDF Forces

Apr 21, 2026·1 min read

Hezbollah announced on Monday morning that it was taking responsibility for a bombing attack carried out the previous day against IDF troops in southern Lebanon—amid the so-called ceasefire.

According to the terror group’s statement, its terrorists planted an explosive device along a route between the villages of Taybeh and Deir Seryan.

Hezbollah claimed the attack was carried out “in response to a series of blatant violations over the three days since the ceasefire began.”

Hours after Hezbollah’s announcement—in response to a query by Army Radio—the IDF spokesperson confirmed that such an incident had indeed taken place. “Yesterday (Sunday), an IDF armored vehicle was apparently hit by an explosive device,” the spokesperson said. “There were no casualties. The incident is under review.”

The incident is a significant breach of the ceasefire, one that Hezbollah has openly acknowledged. Nonetheless, despite more than a day having passed since the incident, the IDF has not yet carried out a military response and did not issue an initial statement on the incident.
