TRAGEDY IN BNEI BRAK: 11-Year-Old Girl Succumbs to Injuries from Iranian Missile Strike On Erev Pesach
A heartbreaking tragedy has struck with the petirah of 11-year-old Nesia Karadi Hy”d, who was critically injured when an Iranian missile struck her home in Bnei Brak on Erev Pesach.
After weeks of tefillos for Nesia bas Hila, she was niftar at Sheba Medical Center, where she had remained in critical condition since the attack.
Nesia was injured while sleeping in her home at the time of the siren. Despite being known as a child who was especially careful to follow Home Front Command instructions, she was unable to reach shelter in time.
Her mother shared painfully: “Nesia was the child most careful about the instructions. At every siren she was the first to run to the protected space. But during the siren in Bnei Brak, she was asleep — before she could get up and run, the missile landed and severely injured her.”
Nesia Hy”d was a student at Horev School and the daughter of R’ Elazar Karadi and Mrs. Hila Karadi, and a niece of Harav Michael Lesri.
Her mother recalled the meaning behind her name: “We named her Nesia because she was born through an open miracle. I remember the midwife shouting in the delivery room that this child was born miraculously.”
Despite massive tefillos and efforts undertaken on her behalf, she returned her pure neshamah to her Creator, surrounded by her family who remained at her bedside throughout.
Levaya details are expected to take place Motzei Shabbos, with further information to be updated.
