Netanyahu Holds Security Consultation As Hezbollah Truce Violations Intensify

Apr 27, 2026·1 min read

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is holding a security consultation by phone with senior defense officials early Monday afternoon amid ongoing Hezbollah ceasefire violations, Israeli media outlets reported.

On Monday morning, the judges presiding over Netanyahu’s court cases canceled a scheduled hearing after the prime minister’s attorney requested its postponement due to security concerns.

Despite the official ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon declared by US President Donald Trump, Hezbollah has persisted in launching rockets and drones at IDF forces and northern communities. On Monday morning, a drone‑infiltration alert sounded in several yishuvim in the Western Galil. Shortly afterward, the IDF said contact had been lost with the drone, indicating it likely crashed in an open area.

At the same time, a siren was activated in Arab al-Aramshe due to concern over falling interception debris.

The IDF also announced on Monday that it intercepted a Hezbollah suicide drone fired at IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon on Sunday.
