IDF Airstrikes Kill 3 Hezbollah Operatives Near Southern Lebanon Troops
JERUSALEM (VINnews)-Israeli forces killed three Hezbollah operatives in airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Sunday after troops spotted them near a military forward defense line, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The operatives were identified by soldiers from the 98th Division operating in the area, the military said. A short time later, the Israeli Air Force conducted a strike that eliminated the threat.
In addition to targeting the operatives, the IDF struck several buildings used by Hezbollah, including a structure that served as the terror group’s headquarters in the Bint Jbeil sector.
“Following the strikes, secondary explosions were identified, indicating the presence of weapons in the structures,” the army said in a statement.
The incidents come amid ongoing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, with Hezbollah continuing operations in southern Lebanon despite Israeli efforts to secure the area
