An unusual incident was reported in Beirut after a Lebanese student contacted the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson claiming that Hezbollah weapons were being stored inside her school, a claim that was later determined to be false and reportedly intended to avoid taking exams.

According to a report by Channel 12 journalist Sapir Lipkin, the student reached out via Instagram to IDF Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee, alleging that weapons belonging to Hezbollah were hidden within her school.

Further investigation revealed that the allegation was unfounded. Officials now believe the student made the claim in an attempt to evade academic testing.

Following the incident, the student and her parents were briefly detained by local authorities before being released. Meanwhile, residents in the area reported unusual drone activity in the vicinity of the school in the days after the claim became public.

In an official message sent to parents, the school administration warned that any student found to have harmed the institution or made statements about it that violate laws or regulations could face legal consequences.

Authorities added that the investigation is ongoing and emphasized that anyone found responsible for involvement in the incident will be held fully accountable, along with their parents.
