JERUSALEM (VINnews) — IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said Wednesday that the Israeli military has prepared a series of targets in Iran ready to strike should the war with the Islamic Republic resume.
“Cooperation with the United States military and coordination continue at all times, and we are monitoring the situation,” Zamir said during a visit to southern Lebanon, according to remarks published by the Israel Defense Forces.
“In Iran, we have a further series of targets ready for attack. We are on high alert to return to an intense and broad campaign that will allow us to deepen our achievements and further weaken the Iranian regime,” he added.
Zamir told troops in the Khiam area that “all IDF capabilities are at your disposal” with “no limitation in the use of force for this purpose.”
He noted that more than 2,000 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in Lebanon since the start of the war with Iran.
“We will seize every opportunity to deepen the blow to Hezbollah and its continued weakening,” Zamir said.
