IDF Forces Eliminate 20 Hezbollah Terrorists, Dismantle Tunnel and Hundreds of Military Sites in Southern Lebanon
JERUSALEM (VINnews) – Israeli troops from the IDF’s 146th Division, supported by the Israeli Air Force, eliminated approximately 20 Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon over the past week while dismantling more than 200 military structures belonging to the Iran-backed group, the military said Thursday.
In precise airstrikes directed by ground forces, the air force targeted Hezbollah operatives attempting to advance attacks against IDF soldiers operating in the area, the IDF reported. Separately, soldiers from the 146th Division and the Yahalom Unit discovered and dismantled an approximately 30-meter-long underground tunnel route in the Labbouneh area.
During targeted raids on Hezbollah command centers, troops located caches containing weapons, vests, munitions and anti-tank missiles, according to the military.
The operations are part of ongoing efforts to degrade Hezbollah’s military infrastructure near the Israel-Lebanon border following months of cross-border hostilities.
