Hezbollah Drone Attacks Wound 3 IDF Soldiers, One Seriously, Amid Escalation Along Lebanon Border
Three IDF soldiers were wounded on Thursday — including one seriously — in multiple Hezbollah explosive drone attacks near the Lebanon border, according to the military.
In one incident that occurred a short while ago, a Hezbollah explosive drone crossed into Israeli territory and detonated near troops operating close to the border. The IDF said one soldier sustained serious injuries while another was moderately wounded in the blast.
Earlier in the day, several additional explosive drones struck near Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon. The military said a third soldier was moderately injured in that attack.
All of the wounded troops were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.
The attacks came amid continued Hezbollah fire throughout the day. The IDF said several rockets and mortars were launched at Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, with one projectile intercepted by Israeli air defenses. No additional injuries were reported from the rocket fire.
The latest incidents mark another escalation in Hezbollah’s ongoing drone campaign targeting Israeli troops operating near and inside southern Lebanon.
