IDF Chief of Staff: New Security Reality Created Across Arenas, Operations Ongoing
JERUSALEM (VINnews) – IDF Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir declared Wednesday that the Israeli military has established “a new security reality” in its operations across multiple fronts, while stressing that the campaign is not over and forces remain ready for renewed fighting if needed.
Zamir made the remarks during a situational assessment and tour in northern Samaria, accompanied by senior commanders including Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Yoram Halevi, Military Advocate General Maj. Gen. Itai Ofir and other division and brigade commanders.

“The IDF is operating in all arenas with determination,” Zamir said. “We have created a new security reality. We continue our mission in Lebanon, operating near the Litani area and additional sectors, and eliminating dozens of terrorists and terror infrastructure sites every day. In Gaza as well, we are operating offensively and eliminating terrorists, and here too in Judea and Samaria we are operating continuously and achieving results. There is no containment — only initiative.”
He added: “The operation is not over. The IDF is prepared to renew fighting if required and remains in a state of constant readiness both defensively and offensively — from Judea and Samaria to Tehran.”
Brigade commanders briefed Zamir on the operational situation in the area. He also spoke with battalion commanders and soldiers, praising their efforts and recent achievements, and highlighted the close cooperation among security agencies in counterterrorism operations.
“The northern Samaria area is undergoing a significant transformation,” Zamir said. “The IDF Central Command is leading extensive offensive and counterterrorism activity alongside preparations for optimal defense of the area. This is a period in which the scope of terrorism in Judea and Samaria is among the lowest in recent years — thanks to continuous, proactive, and offensive counterterrorism operations.”
Zamir noted the rapid redeployment of the Nahal Brigade, which had just completed intense operations in Lebanon a month earlier, to duty in Judea and Samaria.
“We continue operating without pause to thwart terrorism, including operations in densely populated areas,” he said. “I am confident it will achieve results here as well.”
