The Community Outreach Center will host its Annual Safety Awareness Day this Sunday, May 17, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the community center located at 21 Remsen Avenue in Monsey.

The family-focused event will offer a variety of safety resources and activities for local residents, including free bicycle helmet distribution, a raffle for 40 car seats, and educational materials focused on bicycle and road safety.

Organizers say more than 2,500 children and family members attended last year’s event, with an even larger turnout expected this year.

Rabbi Hersh Horowitz, Executive Director of the Community Outreach Center, said the event aims to provide families with important safety education in an engaging and welcoming environment.
