
Breaking: Debris Falls at George Washington Bridge Causing Major Traffic Delays

Drivers heading toward the George Washington Bridge are being warned of major delays after debris fell onto the westbound Cross Bronx Expressway near Exit 1.
The incident happened during the morning rush, leading authorities to shut down all westbound lanes heading to the lower level of the bridge while inspections and repairs are carried out.
One person was reportedly hospitalized after debris struck a vehicle below, though details on the extent of the injuries have not been released.
At this time, motorists heading toward the 181st Street exit are being redirected to alternate routes including Jerome Avenue and the Major Deegan. The 181st Street exit remains closed.
Drivers using the area should expect heavy traffic delays and possible ongoing closures while repair work takes place.
