3 Israeli Civilians Injured, 1 Critically, By Hezbollah Explosive Drone Amid “Ceasefire”

May 14, 2026·2 min read

Three Israeli civilians were injured by an explosive drone launched by Hezbollah that hit a parking lot in Rosh Hanikra in northern Israel on late Thursday morning.

No siren sounded before the drone strike.

The victims received emergency medical treatment at the scene and were evacuated to the Galil Medical Center in Nahariya, one in critical condition, one in serious condition, and one in light condition.

The serious incident occurred hours before a third round of Lebanese-Israeli talks in Washington.

Nabih Berri, speaker of the Lebanese parliament, warned in the Ad-Diyar Lebanese newspaper on Thursday: “The negotiations begin today at 4:00 p.m., and if a real ceasefire is not achieved, everything will collapse.”

He said Lebanon “will accept nothing less than the withdrawal of the Israeli army, followed by reconstruction, the deployment of the Lebanese army, and the return of displaced residents.”

The IDF said the incident is “a blatant violation of the ceasefire understandings.”

Moshe Davidovich, head of the Mateh Asher Regional Council and chairman of the Confrontation Line Forum, said: “The writing was on the wall, and the responsibility lies on the shoulders of those allowing this lawlessness to continue. The strike in Rosh HaNikra is not just another security incident — it is an intentional attempted murder of civilians. I say from here to the Israeli government and the security establishment: we are not the state’s ‘human shield.’ We will not accept a reality in which the skies of the north are exposed and explosive drones become a deadly routine. We demand an immediate change in the equation on the confrontation line.”

Earlier on Thursday, Hezbollah launched at least two drones at northern Israel in two separate incidents, triggering sirens in the Misgav Am and Muvot Chermon areas. Baruch Hashem, the drones were intercepted.
