The Ramapo Town Board has approved a bond allowing the purchase of two new ambulances for the town’s ambulance district, continuing ongoing efforts to expand emergency response resources across the area.
The approval came during a public hearing held this evening at Ramapo Town Hall, where officials discussed the proposed $790,000 bond for the new ambulances, which will be used by Hatzoloh.
During the meeting, board members noted that similar bonds approved in recent years helped purchase additional emergency vehicles and equipment for other ambulance corps serving the district, with officials emphasizing that the town plans to continue supporting local emergency organizations as needs arise.
Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht told Rockland Daily that the town remains committed to strengthening emergency medical services throughout the community. “These investments help ensure that residents across the ambulance district continue receiving fast, reliable emergency care when they need it most,” Specht said.
The town purchases and owns the equipment directly so it can benefit the entire ambulance district and strengthen emergency response capabilities for residents throughout Ramapo.
The two new ambulances approved will now move forward as part of the district’s continued expansion of emergency medical services.
