King Charles Visits Jewish Neighborhood in London After Stabbing Attack
LONDON (VINnews) — Charles III visited the heavily Jewish Golders Green neighborhood in London on Thursday, meeting with victims of a stabbing attack and community leaders in a show of support following growing concerns over antisemitism and security.
The King’s grandmother, Princess Alice of Battenberg, was recognised as Righteous Among the Nations for saving Jews during the Holocaust.

During the hour-long visit, Charles met with the two Jewish men wounded in the April attack, identified in local reports as Norman Shine, 76, and Shloime Rand, 34. The king also met with Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, members of the Shomrim volunteer security patrol, and representatives of the Jewish emergency service Hatzola.
Crowds gathered along the streets of Golders Green to greet the monarch, with some shouting “Long live the King” and thanking him for visiting the community.

According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, the visit was intended to “reaffirm his steadfast support” for Britain’s Jewish community following the attack.
The stabbing took place on April 29, when a suspect wounded two Jewish men before being detained with assistance from Shomrim volunteers, according to local reports.
The visit came a day after Charles used the ceremonial opening of Parliament to say the British government would take immediate action to combat antisemitism amid heightened tensions and rising reports of anti-Jewish incidents across the country.
