Emergency crews responded Thursday to a smoke condition inside the KeyBank branch on Route 59 in Suffern, prompting a large multi-agency response from the Tallman, Suffern, and Mahwah Fire Departments alongside Ramapo Police and Faist EMS.

According to initial information from the scene, the smoke was caused by wiring of an air conditioning unit. No active fire was confirmed. Authorities say the significant emergency response was part of standard safety protocols to ensure the situation did not develop into something more serious.
