Congressman Mike Lawler recently met with staff from VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, a nonprofit organization focused on helping blind and visually impaired individuals live more independent and active lives.

Founded in 1926, VISIONS provides vision rehabilitation and social services for people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired. The organization develops individualized programs designed to help clients navigate daily life while also promoting greater public understanding of the needs and capabilities of visually impaired individuals.

During the meeting, Lawler met with staff members to learn more about the organization’s work and the services it provides to communities throughout the region.

VISIONS offers a wide range of assistance programs, including rehabilitation services, support resources, and programs aimed at improving independence and quality of life for individuals living with vision loss.

The meeting highlighted ongoing efforts to support organizations serving individuals with disabilities and providing critical community services.
