The Ramapo Police Department is reminding residents that the department currently has seven certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians available to assist families with proper car seat installation and safety inspections.

Officials said appointments are required for all installations and inspections in order to provide families with dedicated one-on-one assistance and education regarding child passenger safety.

Police emphasized that properly installed car seats play a critical role in protecting children during vehicle travel and encouraged parents to have seats checked to ensure they are correctly secured.
