Trump Warns Iran Clock Is Ticking for Better Nuclear Deal or Harsher Strikes

WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) – President Donald Trump issued a blunt warning to Iran on Sunday, saying the “clock is ticking” for the Iranian regime to offer a stronger nuclear deal or face significantly tougher U.S. military action.

In a phone interview, Trump said that if Tehran does not present a better proposal, “they are going to get hit much harder.” The comments come as tensions escalate over Iran’s nuclear program and broader efforts to resolve regional conflicts.

U.S. officials say Trump continues to prefer a negotiated resolution but that Iran’s rejection of key American demands has returned military options to the forefront.

Trump is scheduled to convene a Situation Room meeting Tuesday with his top national security advisers to review potential courses of military action, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the plans.

The warning highlights the administration’s impatience with diplomatic progress amid ongoing concerns about Iran’s nuclear advancements and its role in regional instability. Trump has repeatedly signaled openness to talks but has made clear that the U.S. will not tolerate indefinite delays.
