The Israeli community is mourning the loss of Itamar Sapir Hy”d, a reserve captain from Ariel who was killed in battle in southern Lebanon.

Sapir was 27 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Roee, and their one-and-a-half-year-old son, Maayan.

A notice issued by the community of Eli stated:

“Baruch Dayan HaEmes. With great sorrow, we announce the fall of Major Itamar Sapir Hy”d in battle in Lebanon. Levaya and shiva details will be announced later.”
