Massive Fire At Largest Kosher Market In Golders Green; Police Investigating Cause
About 100 firefighters and 15 firetrucks are fighting a massive fire that broke out at Kosher Kingdom, the largest kosher supermarket in Golders Green, London.
The fire, which broke out shortly before 7:00 a.m on Wednesday, began at the back of the supermarket, which is located on the bottom of a three-story building with residential apartments located above the store.
British police have launched an investigation to determine whether it was negligence or deliberate arson amid a spate of antisemitic attacks in the community in recent months, including a stabbing attack only yards away from the supermarket, and an arson attack on Hatzalah ambulances.
“We are aware of the ongoing fires in the Jewish neighborhood of Golders Green,” the Combat Antisemitism watchdog group stated. “While the blaze may be accidental, we are closely monitoring the situation.”
“Given recent antisemitic incidents targeting the local Jewish community, concerns are rising.”
London’s Metropolitan Police said it was “too early to have determined the cause” of the fire, and “Fortunately, there have been no reports of any injuries.”

This is a developing story.
