JERUSALEM (VINnews) – Israel Defense Forces soldiers operating in southern Lebanon located and destroyed a major Hezbollah weapons storage facility during a nighttime raid, the IDF announced Wednesday.
Within minutes, troops dismantled more than 20 Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites in the area using six tons of explosives, according to the military. The facility contained numerous weapons intended for use against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
In a separate operation in southern Lebanon, IDF forces located and dismantled a booby-trapped Hezbollah storage facility containing explosive devices.
Throughout the past 24 hours, the IDF continued to strike Hezbollah terrorists and additional terrorist infrastructure across southern Lebanon.
The operations come amid ongoing efforts to degrade Hezbollah’s military capabilities near Israel’s northern border. No injuries to Israeli forces were reported in the incidents.
