WATCH: Tens of Thousands March in Toronto’s Largest-Ever Walk With Israel

Jun 7, 2026·3 min read

TORONTO (VINnews) — Tens of thousands of people marched through Toronto on Sunday during the city’s annual Walk with Israel, with organizers describing it as the largest turnout in the event’s history amid growing concerns over antisemitism in Canada.

Organizers estimated that approximately 60,000 people participated in the event, which brought together members of the Jewish community, supporters of Israel and allies from a variety of backgrounds.

Participants carrying Israeli and Canadian flags walked along a major route in northern Toronto before gathering for a community celebration.

The event took place under heightened security, with a significant police presence deployed along the route. Small groups of anti-Israel demonstrators gathered near portions of the march, but officers maintained separation between protesters and participants.

Toronto police reported several arrests and enforcement actions related to incidents that occurred during the event.

I am not angry at the siblings of IRGC war criminals and the nephews of Hamas baby snatchers and Gaza tunnel creatures for marching with IRGC or pro Hamas gear, harassing Canadian Jews this morning in Toronto.

That is to be expected.

I am angry at @TorontoPolice and the many…

Community leaders said the march served both as a celebration of Jewish identity and as a public response to rising antisemitism. Jewish organizations have expressed concern over an increase in antisemitic incidents across Canada since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023.

Among those attending were representatives from Indigenous communities, local elected officials and community leaders.

In statements following the march, organizers said the large turnout reflected solidarity with the Jewish community at a time when many Canadian Jews have voiced concerns about safety and rising anti-Jewish hatred.

The event came days after Canadian leaders renewed calls to address antisemitism and strengthen protections for Jewish communities across the country.

Proudly walking in support of Israel this morning with the Toronto Jewish community. So thrilled to see Jews, Persians, Christians, First Nations and tens of thousands of other friends and allies who all cherish freedom walking with us. The children of Israel live! pic.twitter.com/PLocymfsuO
