Iran Fires Missiles In Response To Israeli Attack, No Injuries Reported

Jun 8, 2026·2 min read

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — According to sources in Iran, the Israeli Air Force struck approximately 20 different targets across Iran overnight Monday. Among the reported targets were:

  • Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.
  • A drone manufacturing facility in Najafabad.
  • An Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) complex in Islamabad.
  • A ballistic missile site in Tabriz.
  • Targets in the western suburbs of Tehran.
  • Targets in Isfahan.

The attacks took place at 4:15 AM Israel time, in two separate waves. The first wave involved strikes on Iranian air defense systems (air-defense batteries/SAM systems) in several areas of Tehran, central Iran, and western Iran. The second wave involved an attack on a petrochemical installation. Iranian media later reported that Israel struck the Karoon Petrochemical Complex in Mahshahr, in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province. The province’s governor told the Fars news agency that part of the facility was damaged in the attack.

Both strikes were performed by IAF planes flying outside Iranian aerospace.

In response, Iran launched several barrages of missiles toward various areas across Israel. Sirens sounded at around 7:00 a.m. Israel time, and several missiles were reportedly intercepted. One of the launches fell in an open area in Samaria. The Samaria Regional Council reported a direct hit on a Samaria neighborhood. Four homes were damaged, some of them severely.

About an hour earlier, sirens sounded in central Israel, the Shephelah, and Lachish regions following the launch of a missile from Yemen. The missile was successfully intercepted.

Israel is bracing for several days of warfare, according to a senior defense official. Schools are closed throughout the country, but Ben Gurion airport remains open and a reduced public transport system continues to operate.
