Israel, Ecuador to Launch Free Trade Talks

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israel and Ecuador are preparing to open discussions aimed at establishing a free trade framework between the two countries, Israeli officials said Friday.

The announcement followed a conversation between Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Ecuador’s newly appointed foreign minister, Roberto Kury.

During the call, the two diplomats reviewed issues of mutual interest, including economic cooperation and current developments in the Middle East. They also discussed regional security concerns and broader international issues.

Sa’ar congratulated Kury on assuming his new position and expressed interest in further strengthening relations between the two countries. He also invited the Ecuadorian foreign minister to visit Israel for future discussions.

Officials said the planned trade negotiations reflect growing efforts by both governments to deepen economic and diplomatic cooperation.
