Shin Bet Foils Dozens of Hamas Terror Attacks in Judea & Samaria Directed from Turkey
JERUSALEM (VINnews)-Israel’s Shin Bet security agency said Sunday it has foiled dozens of planned terror attacks in Judea & Samaria over the past year, all directed by Hamas operatives based in Turkey.
In a statement, the agency identified several key figures in Hamas’s so-called Judea & Samaria Headquarters, a unit responsible for advancing attacks against Israel from or within the territory.

“Over the years, and with increased intensity over the past year, operatives in the Judea & Samaria Headquarters have been directing and advancing extensive military activity into Judea & Samaria and Israel from Turkish soil, including recruiting operatives to carry out attacks and transferring weapons and funds into the area to advance military activity,” the Shin Bet said.
The agency named Istanbul-based senior Hamas official Zaher Jabarin as the head of Hamas’s Judea & Samaria activity. Ayman Abu Khalil was identified as the head of the group’s military wing in the territory.
Additional Turkey-based operatives named by the Shin Bet include:
Ayman Sharawna, who worked to recruit operatives for attacks.
Muhammad Mallah, who splits time between Turkey and Qatar and helped transfer funds for terror activity.
Majed Jaaba, who assisted in providing the weapon used in a November 2023 shooting attack at a Jerusalem-area checkpoint.
Walid Abu Nassar, who financed a Hamas network in Bethlehem.
Salam Yaish, who recruited operatives to carry out attacks.
The Shin Bet said the Hamas operatives “carry out their activities unhindered from Turkish territory” and exploit infrastructure in the country to transfer instructions and funds to terrorists in Judea & Samaria.
