Community Leaders have jointly issued a unified letter expressing gratitude for the significant increase in government funding for Rockland County’s Child Care Voucher program.

Residents received the great news that, under the newly approved state budget, Rockland County has secured a total allocation of $18.7 million - a 70% increase in annual funding for the program, which supports thousands of local families with child care and early education expenses.

The joint letter, signed collectively by Community Leaders, welcomed the development as an important step forward for local families who rely on the program to help cover child care and early education needs.

Special appreciation was extended to New York Governor Kathy Hochul for her role in advancing the budget allocation, along with Assemblyman Aharon Benzion Wieder, who was credited with sustained advocacy and consistent efforts on behalf of the community.

The letter also acknowledged Senate candidate Joe Rand for his involvement and engagement throughout the process leading to the funding increase.
