SEARCH CONTINUES: Concern Mounts As Hundreds Search For Missing Bnei Brak Man Yisroel Stern
Nearly three days after Yisrael Mordechai Stern disappeared, hundreds of volunteers continue an intensive search for the 25-year-old Bnei Brak resident, as concern for his safety continues to grow.
Stern, who has special needs and is non-verbal, left his home Thursday morning and has not been heard from since. His condition has heightened fears among family members and rescue officials.
Large-scale search efforts began Thursday evening and have continued around the clock, with volunteers from numerous emergency organizations using drones, advanced search equipment, and other resources to comb open areas, streets, buildings, and other locations where he may have gone.
Due to the serious concern for his life, rabbinic authorities ruled that the search should continue throughout Shabbos. Hundreds of yeshiva bochurim from the Ger Chassidus joined police officers and volunteers from United Hatzalah in extensive searches across multiple areas.
Meanwhile, the Alei Siach organization established a joint command center with the Israel Police to coordinate the ongoing operation. The command center, located at 41 Yarkon Street in Bnei Brak, continues to receive volunteers, provide briefings, and dispatch search teams as needed.
Rescue officials stress that every passing hour increases the urgency of the search and are urging the public to remain vigilant.
Stern is described as being approximately 5’9″ (1.76 meters) tall, with a fair complexion and clear-framed eyeglasses.
Anyone who has seen him or has any information that could assist in locating him is urged to contact the Israel Police immediately by calling 100.
