VIOLENCE AT BEN GURION: Ground Crew, Security Guard Injured In Baggage Claim Clash Before Shabbos

A violent confrontation broke out Friday at Ben Gurion Airport after passengers from two delayed flights clashed with ground staff while waiting for their luggage, fearing they would not receive their bags before the start of Shabbos.

According to reports, passengers became increasingly frustrated as baggage from the delayed flights failed to arrive at the carousel. Some feared they would be forced to remain at the airport throughout Shabbos if their luggage was not delivered in time.

The dispute escalated into a physical altercation, during which a ground attendant and an airport security guard were injured. Airport security personnel reportedly drew their weapons as they responded to the incident.

Security forces eventually brought the situation under control. Police complaints have since been filed against those involved.
