We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Rochel Lieff, matriarch of a prominent Torah family, and a native of Brooklyn and Monsey. She was 104 years of age. 

The nifteres was born in the Botei Machse neighborhood of Yerushalayim in the year 1922 into a prominent Yerushalmi family. Her father was Rav Yaakov Leib Bergman who was a son in law of Rav Yitzchok Shlomo Blau of the illustrious Blau family of Yerushalayim. 

She married Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Lieff, the Marah d'Asra of Talmud Torah Tiferes Yisroel of Brooklyn. 

Together, they established a beautiful Torah family, with many bnei Torah and marbitzei Torah among her progeny. 

The levaya will take place at 12:00 today at Yeshiva Gedolah of South Monsey.
