Rockland Unites for Venezuela: Community-Wide Relief Drive Mobilizes Aid for Families in Need

As the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela continues to impact countless families, Rockland County residents are galvanizing with compassion and action to bring them relief.

The countywide donation drive, "Rockland County United for Venezuela," is bringing together residents, community organizations, and local volunteers to provide urgently needed humanitarian assistance for Venezuelan families facing severe hardship.

The campaign calls upon the public to donate essential items that will offer immediate relief to those struggling with shortages of food, medicine, hygiene products, and other daily necessities.

The collection drive is seeking donations in eight key categories, with special emphasis on non-perishable food and medical supplies. Medical donations include over-the-counter pain relievers, allergy medication, oral rehydration salts, bandages, sterile gauze, adhesive tape, disposable gloves, alcohol, and digital thermometers.

Donations may be dropped off at two locations in Rockland County: Quisqueya Sports Club, located at 25 Broadway in Haverstraw, and the Louis Kurtz Civic Center, located at 9 North Main Street in Spring Valley. Collections will take place Monday, June 29 through Friday, July 3, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Those wishing to participate are encouraged to donate new, unopened items from any of the requested categories. Every donation will help provide comfort, dignity, and hope to families in need.
