State Senator Bill Weber, Assemblyman Aron Wieder, Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht, and other elected officials visited Camp Fun USA this morning for the camp’s annual summer program with local law enforcement agencies and Chaveirim volunteers.

The group arrived in a large motorcade featuring members of the Ramapo Police Department, Spring Valley Police Department, Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, along with other  agencies. The procession also included police vehicles, ATVs, Jeeps, mounted police horses, and Chaveirim response vehicles, giving campers an exciting welcome.

As the officials entered the camp, they were greeted by the campers with the singing of the National Anthem and enthusiastic chants of “USA.”

During the program, Senator Weber addressed the children and spoke about the wonderful work being done at Camp Fun USA and the positive experience it provides each summer. Assemblyman Wieder and several other speakers also addressed the campers during the event.

The annual visit gives campers the opportunity to meet local elected officials, law enforcement officers, and Chaveirim volunteers while expressing appreciation for the people who serve and protect the community. The program has become a summer tradition that both the campers and the participating agencies look forward to each year.
