
Brooklyn Bridge Briefly Catches Fire During NYC Fourth of July Fireworks
NEW YORK (VINnews) – Brooklyn Bridge briefly caught fire during Independence Day fireworks celebrations Saturday night after pyrotechnics ignited multiple sections of the historic span.
Video from the scene showed flames and smoke rising from parts of the bridge as fireworks launched from the structure during Macy’s display over the East River.
The fires burned out within about a minute, according to witnesses. It was not immediately clear whether the bridge sustained any damage, and officials had not released information on the cause or the extent of the incident.
