The IDF announced Wednesday that it eliminated Mohammed Imad Al-Rahman Abu Taima, a Hamas Nukhba force squad commander who participated in the October 7 massacre at Kibbutz Nirim.
According to the IDF, Abu Taima led a Nukhba squad that carried out ambushes against Israeli forces throughout the war. In recent months, he was involved in planning additional terror attacks, maintaining the operational readiness of Hamas terrorists, and recruiting new members into the organization. The military said he posed an immediate threat to IDF troops operating in southern Gaza and was eliminated in a precise airstrike. The IDF added that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area and will continue operating to eliminate any immediate threats.
