Israel recently passed fresh intelligence to the United States indicating Iran was considering a new plot to assassinate President Trump, placing him again at the center of Tehran’s threats as the war with Iran intensifies, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

The intelligence indicated that Iran was looking at targeting Trump personally, not just issuing general threats against the United States. Trump also addressed the danger directly Wednesday, saying, “They want to take out the U.S. leader — me,” and adding that he has been moving from place to place and has “been a little bit lucky.”

The threat comes years after Trump ordered the 2020 strike that killed IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, an attack Iran has repeatedly vowed to avenge. The latest intelligence suggested a fresh assassination threat beyond those long-running warnings.

Trump and Netanyahu also spoke again Thursday, with Netanyahu’s office saying they agreed to continue coordination between the countries and that Trump updated Netanyahu on recent U.S. activity in the Gulf.

At the funeral for slain Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, mourners chanted for Trump’s death and displayed a banner reading, “We Will Kill Trump.”
