GAZA RESET PLAN: Board Of Peace Pushes Move To Areas Outside Hamas Control Before Winter
The Board of Peace is advancing plans to transfer Gaza residents to areas in the southern Gaza Strip that are not under Hamas control, according to a Channel 12 report. Practical preparations are already underway on the ground.
According to the report, the plan depends on receiving internal and security approvals, while IDF forces have begun clearing unexploded ordnance, preparing the area around the Emirati neighborhood in southern Gaza, and setting up a dedicated base in the area.
The move is part of a broader effort to create a program that would allow Gaza’s population to relocate to areas outside Hamas control. While Israel and the Board of Peace continue to define the dismantling of Hamas as a main objective, the goal is not to wait for Hamas before allowing civilians to move closer to the Yellow Line, outside areas controlled by the terror group.
A source familiar with the details said the Board of Peace is preparing to begin the move, but is waiting for final approvals from Israel and additional internal work by the Board of Peace. The source added that practical steps are already being implemented on the ground.
