NETANYAHU ON TOP: Likud Holds First Place In New I24 Poll As Bloc Battle Tightens

Jul 10, 2026·2 min read

A new i24NEWS poll published Thursday shows Likud remaining the largest party in Israel with 29 seats, while Gadi Eizenkot’s Yashar party rises to 21 seats — its highest showing in recent weeks. The poll also finds that separate runs by Benny Gantz and Chili Tropper would leave both parties below the electoral threshold.

Behind Likud and Yashar, the Democrats stand at 10 seats. The poll gives 9 seats to the Beyachad party led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, while Shas and Yisrael Beytenu each receive 9 seats. Otzma Yehudit and United Torah Judaism each receive 8 seats, the Joint List gets 7, and both Religious Zionism and Ra’am stand at 5.

The poll also finds that Zehut, the Economic Party, Blue and White led by Gantz and Smotrich, and a separate party led by Tropper, Yoaz, and Hendel, all fail to cross the electoral threshold. In the broader bloc picture, opposition-aligned parties, including the Joint List and Ra’am, reach 61 seats, while the current coalition bloc stands at 59.

The survey also tested a scenario in which a new right-wing party led by Yuli Edelstein, Gilad Erdan, rdan and Ayelet Shaked enters the race. In that case, the overall map remains unchanged, with that party also failing to cross the threshold, alongside Gantz-Smotrich, Tropper-Hendel, Zehut and the Economic Party.

The poll further asked whether Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump are still acting in full coordination. Among coalition supporters, 52% said they are. Among opposition supporters, 68% said the two leaders are now acting mainly in the narrow interests of their own countries. Across the full sample, 51% said local interests are driving both leaders, compared to 32% who still believe Netanyahu and Trump are operating in full coordination.
