President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Friday night, declaring that the United States would unleash overwhelming military force if the Islamic Republic succeeds in assassinating him.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that the U.S. military already has plans in place to devastate Iran in response to any assassination attempt against a sitting American president.

“1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!” Trump wrote.

“Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran – PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!” he added.

Speaking to the New York Post, Trump said Iran has targeted him for years.

“I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” Trump said. “The only thing is, I’ve left instructions — if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.”

Iran has repeatedly vowed revenge for the 2020 U.S. strike ordered by Trump that killed IRGC Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani.

The latest threats intensified following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. His son and successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, vowed to avenge his father’s death, writing, “We pledge to avenge the blood of the martyred leader and all the martyrs of these two wars from the criminal and disgraced killers.”

During Khamenei’s funeral this week, crowds carried signs reading “WE WILL KILL TRUMP” and chanted, “I swear by the blood of the Supreme Leader, Trump, we will kill you!”

Speaking earlier this week at the NATO summit in Turkey, Trump acknowledged he remains Iran’s top target.

“They had leaders, they’re gone. Then they had another set of leaders, they’re gone. Now they have another set of leaders — they may be gone, who knows?” Trump said. “And you know what? I may be gone too. Because I’m their No. 1 target — it’s out all over the place. Because they’re scum.”

“That’s the way they act and that’s the way they’ve done it for 47 years,” he added.
