Publish on Jooish

Jooish carries news sites, groups, status updates and podcasts from across the Orthodox Jewish community. Here's how to bring yours.

Ways to publish

  • Sites

Your articles appear in the news feed alongside the sources we already carry, and readers can follow you to get them in their own feed.

  • Groups

Post straight to a group of your own. It is a broadcast channel people can join and read on the web or in the app, where every message stays searchable and linkable. If you want the conversation, turn on replies and readers can answer in a thread under any message.

  • Status

Share photos and video as status updates, which sit at the top of the app for the day and notify the people who follow you. Viewers can reply if you let them, and their reply reaches you privately rather than in front of everyone.

  • Podcasts

Shows are listed in Podcasts with their full episode archive. Listeners can follow for new episodes, and playback picks up where they left off across the app and the web.

Content Guidelines

Everything published on Jooish has to be of interest to the Orthodox Jewish community: news, Torah, community updates, and the like.

How Discovery Works

New sources open up in stages rather than landing in front of everyone on day one. It gives a site, group, status feed or show a chance to prove that it is interesting to the wider community first.

  1. 1. Shared by link

To start with, the only way to it is a link you hand out. It will not turn up in search or anywhere people browse, so you decide who sees it while you find your footing.

  2. 2. Findable by name

Once an audience is there, we make it searchable, so anyone who has heard of you can look you up and follow along without needing the link.

  3. 3. Out in discovery

After that it joins the browse and discovery surfaces, where it is put in front of people who have never heard of you.

We move sources up as their audience grows. Get in touch if you think yours is ready for the next stage.
