The Houthis released footage purportedly showing a Saudi Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet being struck by a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile over Yemen's Saada province. The fate of the aircraft remains unknown, and there has been no independent confirmation that the fighter jet was damaged or shot down.

Moshe Grunwald: iOS-only update: Today, a new version of Jooish was released on the App Store. It adds support for Smart Speed and Voice Boost for podcasts. (Did you know Jooish now has podcasts? Check them out here: https://jooish.app/podcasts ) Smart Speed: This removes the blank space between spoken words. Some speakers take long pauses, so Smart Speed shortens them. It also tracks how much time you’ve saved. Once you’ve saved at least one minute, you’ll see it next to the menu option. This works separately from playback speed. Voice Boost: Podcasts are mostly spoken audio, which means they’re mostly people talking. However, the audio isn’t always tuned for speech and can sound much better when voices are emphasized. Voice Boost does this automatically. These features are possible because Jooish iOS now has a custom audio-processing engine. They’re currently only available on iOS. If you’d like to see them on Android, please reply privately to this message and let me know.
Throwback: This driver attempting the Roadster move a couple of a years ago on the GSP...
🇺🇸🇮🇷 WATCH: Asked about reports he's considering dropping the "Mother of All Bombs" on Iran, possibly after the midterms, President Trump doesn't rule it out: • "The mother of all bombs is not nuclear… It's not nuclear at all. This is just an extremely large bomb. It's like a tiny nuclear bomb." • "We're the greatest nuclear power in the world… We're actually talking to Russia about that, and we're talking to China about denuclearization."

🇺🇸 🇮🇹 - Jewish Educators Cancel Italy Study Trip After Demand To Condemn Israel About 68 Jewish-American early childhood teachers were set to travel to Reggio Emilia, Italy last weekend for a study visit focused on the city’s famous preschool approach. They were told they would need to sign statements distancing themselves from the “occupation of Gaza” and rights violations in occupied territories. The group, organized through the Paradigm Project, canceled the trip instead. Organizers cited antisemitic pressure and safety concerns after pro-Palestinian activists in the city reviewed participants’ social media profiles and planned protests. Educators described the requirement as having nothing to do with early childhood education and said it singled them out as Jews. One preschool director called it “an innocent trip that turned antisemitic.” Another said it was one of the most painful experiences she has had as a Jew. A smaller group of educators from Israel still attended. The mayor of Reggio Emilia has responded, saying the city remains open to schools from around the world while wanting educators to affirm a commitment to children’s rights amid the situation in the Middle East.

Dodgers Swept by Milwaukee Brewers — World Series Dreams Come to a Crushing End The Los Angeles Dodgers' hopes of winning a third consecutive World Series championship came to a stunning end Thursday night after the Milwaukee Brewers defeated them 6-4 at Dodger Stadium, completing a four-game sweep of the National League Championship Series. Despite taking an early 4-0 lead, including a three-run homer by Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers couldn't hold on as Milwaukee rallied for the victory. The Brewers advance to their first World Series since 1982, while the Dodgers suffer a bitter reversal after sweeping Milwaukee in last year's championship series.
Nearly 1.9 Million Maryland Residents Faced Potential Water Outage Following Power Failure A September 29 electrical failure at WSSC Water’s Potomac Water Filtration Plant reportedly brought parts of Montgomery and Prince George’s counties within hours of losing running water. Multiple electrical problems disrupted pumping operations, but crews managed to restore service before water supplies ran out in affected communities. WSSC Water is now seeking approximately $150 million in government funding for critical electrical upgrades. An earlier assessment had already identified 10 necessary projects, including three top priorities estimated at $130 million. The utility, which serves approximately 1.9 million residents, hopes to secure state or federal funding rather than placing the entire cost on customers through higher water bills. Following the incident, WSSC CEO Kishia Powell urged residents to maintain emergency water supplies of at least one gallon per person per day for three days.

My favorite stage of creating a painting is the finishing touches. This is where everything truly comes to life. By carefully adding highlights, shadows, and subtle contrasts, I can bring out details and create a greater sense of depth. The painting is predominantly blue, so the sky gives me an opportunity to introduce warmer oranges and purples, creating contrast and bringing the entire composition together. Sometimes, the smallest details make the biggest difference.#artist #chabad #jewishart #jewishlife #paintings

Chamath Palihapitiya is one of my favorite investors. What many people don’t know is that he has a fascinating connection to Israel. Chamath shared a story about his time at ICQ, when he traveled from the East Coast of the United States to Tel Aviv every quarter for two years. When he was 25, he was stepping into a leadership role and experiencing Israel’s emerging tech ecosystem firsthand. He worked alongside legendary figures like Yossi Vardi and got a front-row seat to a culture unlike any other. But one story really stood out. During one visit, Chamath went to a restaurant in Jaffa. When someone asked how he liked the food, he said he did. The response? “Oh, a bomb went off here just three days ago.” He was shaken. But what stayed with him wasn’t just the shock of that moment. It was the resilience of the Israeli people. Despite the uncertainty and the very real challenges around them, life went on. Restaurants stayed open. People gathered. Businesses operated. And entrepreneurs kept building, innovating, and moving forward. That’s the spirit of Israel. A country that doesn’t stop living, creating, or dreaming in the face of adversity. And for Chamath, witnessing that resilience firsthand left a lasting impression.
