Voice Boost: Podcasts are mostly spoken audio, which means they’re mostly people talking. However, the audio isn’t always tuned for speech and can sound much better when voices are emphasized. Voice Boost does this automatically. These features are possible because Jooish iOS now has a custom audio-processing engine. They’re currently only available on iOS. One of the younger American machzikei Torah noticed the Philadelphia Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Sholom Kamenetzky, during mincha before boarding. When he learned that the Rosh Yeshiva was seated in economy, he tried upgrading him, but there were no more seats left in business class. On the spot, he insisted on giving the Rosh Yeshiva his seat and he refused to take no for an answer! I have heard people say great things about his father, Reb Yaakov Rajchenbach a’h, but now I see the effects of that chinuch in real time, as I watch this successful businessman sit in a crowded economy row, content and happy that Reb Sholom is where he should be - in business class, learning !!!!

Metal Debris Flattens Tires On 12 Cars On 405 Freeway In Encino A bizarre incident caused major delays on the southbound 405 Freeway near Mulholland Drive this morning after metal debris in the roadway flattened tires on multiple vehicles. The incident was reported around 5:30 a.m., with the CHP saying a total of 12 vehicles suffered at least one flat tire. Cars were seen lined up along the shoulder waiting for assistance. Only one lane was reportedly closed, but the incident caused heavy traffic through the Sepulveda Pass during the morning commute.

Former Aeroflot Employee Convicted in Aircraft Parts Smuggling Case A former Aeroflot employee in Florida has been convicted on 12 counts for illegally exporting nearly $1 million in U.S.-made aircraft parts to Russia. Prosecutors said Alexander Mamonov and a co-conspirator falsely listed destinations such as the UAE and China to conceal that the parts were ultimately sent to Russia. The case highlights ongoing efforts by Russian airlines to bypass U.S. sanctions and obtain Boeing and Airbus spare parts. Mamonov faces sentencing, while his alleged co-conspirator, Russian national Ignat Vakorin, remains wanted by U.S. authorities.
