The IDF says combat engineers recently sealed two Hamas tunnels stretching a combined two kilometers beneath the Gaza Strip. The underground routes were discovered in central and southern Gaza as Israeli forces continue operations to locate and dismantle Hamas infrastructure in areas of the Strip under IDF control. According to the military, engineers filled the two tunnels with concrete, rendering them unusable. The IDF has increasingly used concrete to neutralize underground infrastructure in some cases. While the process can take longer than destroying tunnels with explosives, it can be less costly and reduce the risks associated with demolition operations.

The facility is being built in central Israel and is meant to carry out sentences under Israel’s new Death Penalty for Terrorists Law. The plan reportedly includes a dedicated wing for condemned terrorists, a hanging facility in the center of the wing, and viewing booths for terror victims and bereaved families. Perozo, 35, has a documented history of previous arrests in Miami-Dade. Just two months ago, Miami Beach police arrested him for allegedly slashing a giant World Cup display before fleeing on an electric scooter. At the time, authorities said he was already out on felony bond in another case.

An Arab terrorist shot dead after attempting to stab Israeli troops during an overnight operation in Jenin has been identified as the father of the terrorist who murdered three Israelis in a 2022 Tel Aviv shooting attack.
