FALLSBURG: A cleaning employee working for the management company of a residential development was arrested after stealing residents' packages on multiple occasions. Surveillance footage captured the repeated thefts, allowing detectives from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office to identify and arrest the suspect. LOCH SHELDRAKE: Sullivan County Sheriff's detectives have recovered stolen tefillin and other property taken during two vehicle break-ins that occurred on July 29 at the Town & Country housing development in Loch Sheldrake and the Green Acres bungalow colony in Liberty. Investigators linked both thefts to a stolen white BMW that had fled from Liberty Police during a pursuit earlier that morning. After examining the abandoned vehicle, detectives recovered tefillin and other stolen items, which were returned to their grateful owners this week.
