A suspect was arrested by the NYPD with the assistance of Flatbush Shomrim volunteers for stealing a package on Friday from East 18th Street between Avenues N and O before fleeing the scene. Tonight, the owner of the package recognized the perpetrator and immediately contacted Flatbush Shomrim. The suspect was later located and arrested by the NYPD on East 18th Street between Avenues O and P.

NYC DRUG DELIVERY RING BUSTED: A major cocaine delivery operation based out of a luxury Bronx apartment building was dismantled following a long-term investigation by the NYC Special Narcotics Unit. Authorities seized more than 22 pounds of cocaine, two firearms, and over $200,000 in cash. Two people, an 86-year-old woman and her 65-year-old son, were killed in a devastating apartment fire early Saturday morning on Nostrand Avenue near Beverly Road. FDNY crews rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control, while two additional residents were hospitalized with serious injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The NYPD 62nd Precinct’s Q-Team says it is continuing to address quality-of-life concerns in the community, recently taking enforcement action against unauthorized vehicles on local roadways.
