👀⚠️ IDF Chief Hints at Historic, Still-Classified Air Force Operations: ‘Farther Than Ever’
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has offered a rare glimpse into the scale of Israel’s classified special operations, telling elite Air Force troops at Palmachim Airbase that many of their missions cannot be publicly revealed.
Zamir met fighters from the Air Force’s special operations wing, which includes the elite Shaldag commando unit, combat-rescue Unit 669 and the forward-landing Unit 5700. He said the wing has operated farther from Israel, with more advanced capabilities and for longer periods than ever before during the ongoing multi-front campaign.
“The operations you carried out are unprecedented,” Zamir told the troops, describing missions requiring extraordinary daring and execution and saying they carry strategic significance that “will be written in the pages of IDF history.”
The remarks came as Zamir and Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Omer Tishler reviewed the IAF’s readiness for both offensive and defensive scenarios across multiple fronts. Zamir stressed that Israel remains on high alert in every arena.
