Welcoming the new week tonight with Rav Itche Meir Morgenstern in Yerushalayim.

A pidyon haben was held for a descendant of two of the Sephardic world’s leading Torah families—a great-grandson of Rav Yitzchak Yosef, president of the מועצת חכמי התורה, and of Rav Shlomo Moshe Amar, as well as a grandson of Rav Ovadia Yosef, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ohel Yosef. The pidyon was performed by Rav Dovid Cohen, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Chevron, who served as the kohen.

This week marked a milestone for Renewal. 1,500 kidney transplants. It's an incredible number, but numbers only tell part of the story. Behind every one of those 1,500 transplants is a person who chose to say yes. A donor who stepped forward. A recipient who refused to give up hope. Families who waited, davened, and dreamed of the day of life would begin to feel normal again.

For the fifth consecutive year, mashgichim overseeing Yerushalayim's hotels gathered for a special series of professional seminars held at the Kinor Hotel, focused on strengthening and enhancing the city’s kosher supervision standards.

Guy Meroz, the well-known left-leaning panelist on Channel 14’s “HaPatriotim” (“The Patriots”), installed a mezuzah at the entrance to his home this week. As he shared on social media, it was the first mezuzah of his life. It was his fellow panelist, Yaki Adamker, who actually put it up for him. In the video Meroz shared, he can be seen putting on a bicycle helmet in place of a yarmulka for the occasion. When Adamker asked him, “Is that the only kippah you could find?” Meroz answered, “I don’t have a kippah at home. I’ll buy one.”
