Atara - Currently Available One of the defining works from my Gold Series, this piece portrays a man wrapped in a tallis, immersed in the timeless prayer of Avinu Malkeinu. The hand-sculpted atarah serves as the focal point, rising from a deeply carved background that creates remarkable dimension and movement. Finished with layers of metallic gold, every contour catches the light differently, revealing new details from every angle. Bold yet contemplative, it’s a piece that commands attention while inviting quiet reflection. #jewishart #jewish #artist #art #jewishlife
3:42 AMThe Shabbat Candle Lighting piece has officially found its home. Today I had the privilege of delivering it in person, and seeing it in its new space made all the difference. The frame matched the client’s credenza perfectly—it looked as though the room had been designed around the artwork. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a piece become part of someone’s home and their family’s Shabbat tradition.#jewish #jewishart #art #artist
5:01 PMBirkat Kohanim is a powerful and immersive artwork that comes to life through meticulous sculpting and painting, creating a hyper-realistic three-dimensional scene. Each tallis in the composition is rendered with its own distinct fabric texture and atarah, reflecting an extraordinary level of detail and craftsmanship. The painting extends beyond the expected by capturing subtle elements such as notes placed in the wall and the hardware on the surrounding gates. Set during Sukkot, the scene depicts thousands gathered at the Kotel to receive the priestly blessing, immersing the viewer in a moment of collective spiritual significance and reverence. #Art #artist #jewishart #jewish #jewishlife
12:06 AMThere’s nothing like seeing a painting finally arrive in its new home. I recently had the opportunity to personally deliver my BMG piece to its new owner, and seeing his reaction made the entire process worth it. So much time, thought, and detail went into creating this piece. Knowing it’s now hanging in a home where it’s truly appreciated is the best feeling an artist can ask for. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #jewishlife

6:43 PMJust finished this commissioned painting. I’m really happy with how the sky turned out on this piece. What’s your favorite aspect about this painting? #jewishart #artist #art #painting #torah
1:16 PMI wasn’t very good at school growing up. But from a young age, I could draw. My parents noticed it before I really understood what it meant. And instead of trying to force me down a path that didn’t come naturally, they recognized where I had potential. They put me into art classes and gave me the opportunity to develop it. Looking back, that was such an important part of my life. When you recognize something special in a child, nurture it. Give them the opportunity to see how far they can take it. For me, that was art. And it changed the course of my life.#artist #jewishart #jewish #jewishlife #painting
5:08 PMUnity | 30” x 45” | a commissioned painting A composition bringing together leading Jewish figures from different perspectives, shown in a unified scene. The arrangement emphasizes that, despite disagreement, each person’s contribution has value. A conceptual piece focused on unity within diversity. #jewishart #artist #jewish #painting #torah
1:15 AMShofar Cry | Prints Available (link in bio, prints) Shofar Cry confronts the pain and suffering that has long been part of the Jewish experience, presenting a scene filled with emotional weight and spiritual longing. The Wailing Wall is depicted as both a barrier and a source of hope, a place where tears and prayer converge. The sound of the shofar represents the awakening of souls-both living and departed-calling them to reunite and seek peace. A trail of figures moves through the composition, burdened yet searching, embodying unanswered questions and collective yearning. The painting does not attempt to resolve this tension; instead, it holds space for waiting, faith, and the anticipation of the final shofar blast. #jewishart #artist #jewish #shofar #roshhashana
3:13 AMMy client wanted more of a sunrise in his painting, so I got to work! #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #jewishlife
2:34 PMHi everyone, I’m Alex. I’ve noticed a lot of new people here recently, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about who I am and why I paint. I started painting when I was around six years old, and I was lucky to have parents who recognized that love early on and encouraged me to keep developing it. What started as something I simply loved doing as a kid eventually became one of the biggest parts of who I am. Today, so much of my work is inspired by Jewish life, history, family, tradition, and the moments that have stayed with me personally. Every painting has its own story, and I try to put a piece of myself into each one. #artist #jewishart #art #painting #fineart
3:54 PMCheck out this dollhouse. I’m in the middle of building. It’s been a very long time since I worked on it. I hope to get back to it one of these days. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #jewishlife

9:47 PMEin Od Milvado captures the timeless and enduring message passed down through generations: the belief that there is nothing other than God. The painting reflects a profound spiritual legacy, emphasizing faith, continuity, and the central idea of divine unity. Its quiet strength invites contemplation, encouraging viewers to connect with the depth and simplicity of this foundational belief. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #painting
8:18 PMThis next painting I’m working on is very time intensive piece and is coming together slowly but I’m happy to share some of the progress. I got gold leafing a few frames today as well. #artist #jewish #jewishart #art #painting
11:00 PMEin Od Milvado | 30”x40” This piece reflects a belief that has carried the Jewish people through generations: even when we cannot see the full picture, everything is part of something greater. A reminder of faith, strength, and the divine unity that surrounds us—always. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #painting
2:00 PMOne of the most challenging details in this painting was the siddur. I repainted it six times before it finally felt right. The piece is titled Ein Od Milvado—“There is nothing besides God.” The father and son are holding a siddur containing that prayer, but the Hebrew lettering is intentionally abstracted. From a distance, it appears readable. Up close, the letters dissolve into something beyond words. Because some prayers are felt more deeply than they can ever be explained. #artist #jewishart #art #jewishlife #painting
7:00 PMLighting changes everything. The right light reveals every layer, texture, and brushstroke—bringing the entire painting to life. As the light shifts, the artwork changes with it, revealing details you may not have noticed before. That’s when you finally see the painting the way it was meant to be seen. #jewishart #jewish #art #painting #torah
11:00 PMPushing color as far as it can go—then bringing it back with intention. For this piece, I began with a light wash so the yellow could glow through. I layered in a highly pigmented blue for depth, then softened it with the brush to keep the painting balanced. The challenge was bringing realistic color into a mostly monochromatic composition. Small touches—the pink dress, gold highlights, and layered tones—gave it life and a breath of fresh air. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #jewishlife
2:50 PMEin Od Milvado captures the timeless and enduring message passed down through generations: the belief that there is nothing other than God. The painting reflects a profound spiritual legacy, emphasizing faith, continuity, and the central idea of divine unity. Its quiet strength invites contemplation, encouraging viewers to connect with the depth and simplicity of this foundational belief. #jewishart #art #jewish #artist #painting
6:39 PMAtarah | Prints are available — please DM me. With Rosh Hashanah approaching, this Atarah painting carries an especially meaningful message. In the siddur the man is holding are the words Avinu Malkeinu, “Our Father, Our King” one of the most powerful prayers of the High Holiday season. #jewishart #artist #art #roshhashana #jew A reminder of reflection, prayer, and the hope for a sweet new year.
11:40 PMBW RAV CHAIM KANIEVSKY | 27”x33” This striking portrait of the Reb Chaim combines a black-and-white image painted on wood with a canvas inlaid with sandblasted resin and glass shards. 8:13 PMI finally finished this animal painting! #artist #jewishart #art #painting #jew
1:15 AMDo artists make paintings for themselves, or for everyone else? I think it has to be both. Mark Rothko said, “A picture lives by companionship.” A painting becomes something new when it reaches someone else, when it sits in their home, carries their memories, and makes them feel something. But Picasso also said, “Painting is not done to decorate apartments.” Art should be more than something beautiful on a wall. It should have something to say. I make each painting from a deeply personal place, but I love knowing that once it leaves my studio, someone else can find their own meaning in it. #jewishart #art #artist #paintings #torah
4:46 PMI used crushed glass in this painting! #artist #jewishart #jewish #art #jewishlife
6:18 PMOne of my favorite details in this painting is the lone figure in the background. When creating a piece, I always start by thinking about the feeling I want it to give the viewer. Here, I wanted to create a quiet, intimate moment at the Kotel. The figure is secondary, but the contrast, shadow, and depth around him give the painting another layer of story and emotion. It’s those smaller details that can make a painting feel like a world of its own.#artist #art #jewishart #jewishlife #painting
8:48 PMThe pieces you feel most drawn to create are often the ones you’re unsure anyone else will connect with. But when a painting comes from a real, personal place, people can feel that. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #painting
3:51 PMThis painting went viral on TikTok—and when you look closely, you can see why. It brings together years of experimenting, learning, and refining my craft into one piece. From sculpted textures and wood carving to molding pastes, oxidized paint, and layered details, every part of it has a purpose. This is what happens when all the techniques you’ve developed over the years finally come together in one painting. #jewishart #art #artist #oilpainting #contemporaryart
4:54 PMAn image depicting a mother and daughter lighting Shabbat candles, inspired by the Art Deco movement. The scene is carved into the surface using layered texture, but the concave structure creates the optical effect of it protruding outward. Finished with natural metals and patina, it has a timeless look that fits both modern and classical spaces. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #jewishlife
10:40 PMThis piece captures the quiet, powerful moment of welcoming Shabbos. The mother and daughter lighting candles together represents tradition being passed down, not only through words, but through the warmth, beauty, and holiness created in a Jewish home. #artist #art #painting #jewishart #jew
12:36 PMThis portion of the painting takes a lot of focus and diligence #jewishart #jewish #jewishlife #jew #paintings
2:59 PMA subtle detail that completely changes the painting. I added gold leaf to the highlights—something you may not notice right away, but as you move closer, the light begins to catch it. The painting is intentionally restrained in color, so this small touch brings warmth, depth, and reflection to the surface without taking away from the overall mood. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #painting
9:47 PMKotel 30”x40” The Kotel represents connection, prayer, and the enduring strength of the Jewish people. I wanted to capture not only its ancient stones, but the quiet moments that happen there, people from every background standing together with their own hopes, gratitude, and prayers. I used very subtle color and touches of gold leaf throughout the piece to bring warmth to the surface without taking away from the quiet, timeless feeling of the Kotel. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #painting
2:09 PMI love how this piece came out. It’s subtle but still speaks volumes with the gold leaf. #jewishart #artist #art #torah #painting
5:06 PMAdding color without letting it take over the painting. A little bit of color can go a long way—but if it becomes too noticeable, it turns into the focal point. I’m keeping these tones muted and natural, then tying everything together through subtle highlights that echo the colors in the trees. #artist #jewishart #painting #jewishlife #torah
11:28 AMI really like how this piece came out! #jewishart #artist #painting #torah
4:00 PMHere’s why I added some color to the plants. #artist #jewishart #art #jewish
7:38 PMThis print is currently available. Please direct message me if interested in pricing. Atarah | 30”x40” There are moments in prayer when the outside world seems to disappear. This piece captures that quiet connection—a man wrapped in his tallis, completely immersed in tefillah. The tallis surrounds him almost like a world of its own, while the Atarah rests above him, framing a deeply personal moment between man and God. For me, this painting is about stillness, devotion, and those few moments when nothing else matters. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #jewishlife

A study in texture and movement, using iron, copper, and bronze with natural oxidation for color. A material-driven piece with strong rhythm and depth. #jewishart #artist #jewish #art #painting
3:09 AMThere’s something powerful about capturing movement in a still image. With this piece, I wanted you to almost feel the dancing, the energy, the movement, and the joy of the Chassidim coming together. Judaism isn’t only something we practice. It’s something we celebrate. This piece is currently available.#jewishart #artist #painting #torah #paintings
3:54 AMA look inside the process. This section of the painting is finally coming together. I wanted the water to feel loose and impressionistic, with larger brushstrokes, subtle reflections, and the boat adding that final touch. Next up: the buildings in the background and all the architectural details that will bring the scene together. Still a work in progress, but I’m really happy with where it’s going. 🎨#jewishart #artist #art #painting #torah

2:45 PMStill working on this commission painting. On to the Brooklyn bridge. #jewishart #jewish #artist #art #jewishlife
8:14 PMThe painting changes when you step back. Up close, I’m focused on the details—the texture, the light, the individual marks. But from a distance, I can see the composition as a whole: where the eye is drawn, where the contrast is strongest, and where the painting needs more balance. So much of the process is stepping back, observing, adjusting, and stepping back again. Sometimes you have to create distance to see what the painting actually needs. #artist #art #jewishart #painting #paintings
1:00 PMA look back at an incredible evening from a few months ago. There’s something special about seeing the work leave the studio and come to life in a room full of people. 3:21 PMI painted this when I was 15, so it’s an incredibly sentimental piece to me. Every animal has its own story, each one representing a different part of my life and my family’s story.#artist #jewishart #art #painting #jew
7:35 PMOne of the most unusual pieces I’ve ever created… and it all started with a request from my mom. She wanted something fun and different to hang above her dining room table, so I decided to experiment a little. A combination of wood, stained glass, hanging candle holders, real flames, and color-changing LED lighting. Part artwork, part functional sculpture. When everything is illuminated, the entire piece comes to life. Definitely one of my more unconventional creations, but still one of my favorites. Sometimes the best work comes from stepping outside what you normally do.#artist #craftsmanship #chandelier #jewishart #art
12:30 AMKoheleth stands as a personal favorite among my works, a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. Every detail, even the textured stripes of the tallis, is sculpted with precision. The play of light in this piece is integral, achieved with a spotlight above the canvas to create the perfect ambiance. Set against a wood-paneled backdrop, this artwork blurs the line between traditional canvas and sculpture, offering a unique wall-mounted experience. Inspired by Ecclesiastes or Koheleth, it reflects the passage of time and the gradual fading of memories. In the end, it prompts us to ponder what truly matters in our lives.#artist #art #painting #jew #jewish
