🇺🇸🇮🇷 - Iranian media rejects Trump’s claims after his Situation Room announcement: • Fars News Agency, citing senior Iranian sources, responded to President Trump’s Truth Social post in which he said he is entering the White House Situation Room to decide on the final agreement with Iran. According to Fars, Trump’s statements are “an attempt to portray a fabricated victory.” The Iranian sources said: • Once the US blockade is lifted, Iran will reopen the Strait of Hormuz according to its own pre-determined arrangements. • The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) does not include any provision for destroying Tehran’s nuclear materials. • The MoU does include the immediate release of $12 billion from Iran’s frozen assets. • The agreement also contains a complete ceasefire in Lebanon, in line with Hezbollah’s positions.

In a statement, the EU said the new measures now also apply to members of Hamas’s political bureau who “promote, defend and justify violent actions.” The bloc added that 10 Politburo members were specifically sanctioned. The announcement came one day after the EU imposed sanctions on several Israeli residents of Yehudah and Shomron.
