PHOTOS: An injured bald eagle was rescued Tuesday morning after it was apparently struck by a vehicle while feeding on a deer carcass along Route 17 near Exit 105 in Sullivan County. Sheriff's deputies, Catskill Animal Rescue, and DEC officials safely captured the bird, which was taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center for treatment before its eventual release back into the wild.

FALLSBURG: A cleaning employee working for the management company of a residential development was arrested after stealing residents' packages on multiple occasions. Investigators linked both thefts to a stolen white BMW that had fled from Liberty Police during a pursuit earlier that morning. After examining the abandoned vehicle, detectives recovered tefillin and other stolen items, which were returned to their grateful owners this week.
