UPDATE: Jackson Woman Sentenced To Seven Years In Prison For Shooting 79-Year-Old Man A Jackson Township woman has been sentenced to seven years in New Jersey state prison after pleading guilty to shooting a 79-year-old man last year, authorities said. Marian Rojas, 34, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Kenneth Palmer in connection with the October 24, 2025, shooting in Jackson Township. Rojas pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on June 15, 2026. Her sentence is subject to the state’s No Early Release Act, requiring her to serve at least 85% of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole. New Jersey Restaurants Can Now Permanently Sell Cocktails To-Go Restaurants, bars and other eligible businesses in New Jersey can now permanently sell and deliver certain alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption after Governor Mikie Sherrill signed legislation making the COVID-era rules permanent. The law, Senate Bill 4384, allows businesses with retail consumption licenses, including restaurants, hotels and bars, to sell alcoholic beverages in their original containers, as well as mixed cocktails in closed and sealed containers for customers to take home. Eligible businesses can also deliver mixed cocktails in closed and sealed containers, as well as beer, hard seltzers and other malted beverages in their original, sealed containers. Deliveries can be made by the licensed business or a licensed third-party delivery service.
