In a dramatic development at Ponevezh Yeshiva, Israel’s High Court issued a temporary order preventing an eviction that had been scheduled for tomorrow, following a petition by the faction led by Rav Shmuel Markovitz. For now, members of Rav Markovitz’s faction will be permitted to continue using the yeshiva buildings through Simchas Torah.

CNN, MS NOW and Politico are asking a federal court to keep their White House access in place while they challenge President Trump’s decision to bar the three outlets. Trump imposed the restrictions on September 18 after accusing them of publishing “FAKE NEWS,” The Washington Post reports. A federal judge subsequently restored their access for 14 days, with that order set to expire October 8. The search for missing Israeli Ami Yogev continued Tuesday on the snow-covered slopes of Mount Olympus in Greece, with a United Hatzalah delegation joining Greek rescue forces in efforts to locate the 46-year-old Modi’in resident, who has been missing since September 20. Two U.S. Navy aviators ejected from an aircraft during a landing mishap aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia, at approximately 6:18 p.m. Monday. The suspected plot near RAF Fairford was disrupted after one of the five suspects called 999 himself early Sunday, before the group was arrested on suspicion of explosives and terrorism offenses. The Times reports. Investigators are examining whether the men were acting as proxies for Iran and whether they were conducting surveillance, testing security at the base, or planning an operation. Police are also investigating whether the suspect called 999 because he got cold feet or whether the call itself was part of the plan.

Turkish authorities seized an Iranian Caspian Airlines passenger plane at Istanbul Airport as it was preparing to depart for Iran with passengers onboard, following a court order tied to approximately €3 million in unpaid debt. The Boeing 737-500 was grounded after lawyers representing Turkish aviation services company ACM Temsil Gozetim arrived at the airport with enforcement officers to carry out the seizure.
