TRUMP MEETS THE REBBES: Hasidic Leaders Head to Oval Office for Rare White House Gathering President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with Hasidic leaders, including the grand rabbis (also known as rebbes) of various Hasidic sects such as Satmar and Bobov, Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the Oval Office. The official purpose of the meeting is to tender Rosh Hashanah greetings to the president, but the rabbis are expected to bring up such issues as their opposition to government oversight over secular education at Haredi schools. In a disturbing Instagram post, Catherine poses with what appears to be a rifle while dressed in clothing styled to resemble ISIL and jihadist imagery. She declares that she is “joining the intifada against Israel, America’s greatest enemy.” Catherine operates @lordcatherinethegreat, an account with approximately 105,000 followers. Her profile promotes “#intifada,” while much of her content is devoted to inflammatory anti-Israel and antisemitic messaging. Some viewers may believe she is simply cosplaying or LARPing as a jihadist for attention. However, Catherine makes no reference to satire, parody or playing a character. In the comment section, she reportedly doubled down on her extreme beliefs rather than suggesting that the post was a joke. “Intifada” is not an innocent slogan. The Second Intifada included suicide bombings, shootings and terrorist attacks that murdered approximately 1,000 Israelis, including civilians on buses, inside restaurants and at public gatherings. Catherine has publicly stated that she has autism and ADHD. Those self-described diagnoses have no connection to, and do not excuse, antisemitism or rhetoric glorifying violence.
